Building Takeover

Prism Trees

In Collaboration with Overall Creative

The mural design sought to reinvigorate an old worn down building while highlighting its mid-century architecture. Inspired by artists from the times (Frank Stella & Ellsworth Kelly) the design used minimalist color field paintings to express the form of the tree canopy. A hyper color twist brought life and energy to the building and provided a great place for covered to-go order pickup.

A custom typeface was designed to also mimic the timeless mid-century vibes. Old meets new. The typeface was used for print collateral and turned into a typographic mural for a section of the mural. During the process, Tom Douglas decided to move his pizza oven and asked if we could work it into the mural. The oven explodes with color as it works its way across the rest of the wear-house.
