“Live Like The Futures On Fire”

This sculpture piece was created for Meta Open Arts lobby space. As you stand back the piece makes up an audio sound wave that resulted from reading the phrase “Live Like The Future’s On Fire” into a computer. This positive affirmation embraces Facebook’s hacker mentality and acts as a reminder to not forget your past as you look to the future. Off-cast objects that represent the company’s internal culture and location of Seattle were used to form the peaks and valleys of the audio levels. Lastly, the piece was flocked in an ombre of vibrant colors to reflect the statement. The velvety finish added warmth and intrigue causing viewers to inspect on a closer level.
